Since it's a 417, why don't you get some 7.62 specific hiders like the Battlecomp BABC instead of some wimpy 5.56 brake?

Also consider a large silencer on the 417, I have one on mine and it looks phenomenal:

I'm ordering that M25 flash hider myself. I had a gemtech suppressor on mine for a bit, decided I didn't love it. On another note, what's everyone using for a sling set up? Also, quick dot scope or elcan Spector, what do you think?

You'll like the MS3 or MS4 better.

I run an ASAP on my 416CQB. But I run ASAPs on all my other guns so it keeps the platforms very familiar. Also I don't have to buy different slings for different attachment methods.

Thinking of doing a Vickers / Magpul hybrid sling. But you should experiement to find what works for YOU.

The 417 already has a great sling attachment set up with attachment points on the stock and gas block, I use a SKS sling and though it looks out of place, it works great.

I'm worried about attaching it to the gas block. My barrel/gas block actually have movement to it. The barrel doesn't wobble, it twists...

The webbing is now snag-free nylon scuba-type webbing and the attachment clasps are lighter.

Far as I know, the MS3 has wider more comfortable straps and much improved clips made of polymer (low noise). MS4 has QD clips now. Either of them are a large upgrade from the old MS2 sling.
