Hey guys, thanks for chiming in on this thread, it's been really useful to hear everyone's opinions and I learned a bit on chargers here. I'm using a tiny little cheapie G&P balancer with 3 lights and 2S + 3S ports, now I'm wondering if I should give one of these fancy ones a try.

A good charger will have better electronics and management software to give your packs a better balanced charge and discharge. Also they can also squeeze a better charge into your packs for more shots.

I noticed that on my cheap chargers compared to my good chargers. Those cheap flashing light balancers are fixed with no programming capability.

I just cycled my new 2000mAh 7.4V Hobby King packs. And I am getting 2150mAh capacity from them. One pack should last all day. These Nano Tech's are good batteries.

Another big +1 to Turnigy batteries here. I purchased 4 2s 5000mah 30c batteries, came to about $95ish with a lipo bag, from Hobbyking. These were bought to be used in my SC truck, and they work fantastic. None dead on arrival one all perform great. Fairly long wait from honk kong but for the price these are unbeatable. Turnigy even uses matched cells. And their nanatech brand can be charged above 1c, so they say.
