If it's just a week, I'll throw mine in the fridge

Just make sure you clean it regularly. Just use dish soap or a denture tablet or the camelbak cleaning kit. I've ran gatorade, bcaas through mine and they hold up very well to odors and clean very easily.

+1 on that

I clean mine once a season and the rest of the time it's in the freezer.

I haven't cleaned mine with anything in 2+ years, I just rinse it with hot water before drying it.

I usually give it a rinse 3-4 days after I use it (just 'cause that's when I get around to cleaning up my gear)...then I stick a wisk into it and stand it up so it'll dry out.

If the tube is getting gungy...I'll disconnect it and run a cleaning rod/patch through it, does a nice job of wiping out whatever may be in there.

I just hang it to dry, and before use, I do what I do with my thermos'. Pour boiling water and dish soap in, and giver a shake.

I go with something similar to Tex. I typically just rinse it and after 5+ uses I run a brewers sanitizing solution through it, I actually bought the BlackHawk hanger, which is not necessary but nice so I just leave it hang for a couple days and pack it away when it's dry.

I use the BigZip Platypus bladder by Cascade Designs. I love the thing. Big secure zip on the top which allows for easy filling and cleaning and it has a QD for the hose.

Much like ThunderCactus I only clean it out with hot water. Most times I leave it in the fridge when I don't use it. I've only ever gotten a plasticky taste once, but that was because I left the bladder lying around for an extra week. A quick rinse with a bit of dish soap and hot water and it was gone. I clean it after every use and store in my freezer

Wash with soap and water, including the tube. Rinse with fresh water.

Ball up two paper towels and stuff them inside. Hang upside down. Let dry overnight.

Once dry cap filling opening and close the bite valve. Rise once with water before you refil for use.

Only time I use anything to dis-infect (chlorinated water) is when I have left it for a few months and I smell or see and issue.
