Hi,
well deans are only useful to connect 2 wires at a time and go only one one side. What if i want to switch for both types of batteries? Is there a kind of dean that connects only 1 wire at the time? In any case i'll go the electronic store nearby and ask to see both. |

... I can't picture what you're trying to describe there. Why would you want to connect only one polarity at a time?
Are you referring to something like banana plugs? |

No,
i'm not referring to banana plugs. I have no idea why you don,t understand too. I'm only saying that i had to cut the red and black wire on the charger and will put connectors with small pins so what way i will be able to switch and put the red on black or the black on red to charge both thypes of batteries, something i think i couldn't do with deans since deans are made to connect 2 wires at a time and only go on one way. Hope i made it clear. |

Still don't really understand what you're trying to say. If you put a deans connector on the battery in the right polarity, and have a charger adapter in the right polarity, you never need to change anything.

It's still not clear....
I *think* what Rechkalov7 is saying, is that his Tenergy charger doesn't have female wire inputs that allow you to attach a pigtail adapter. The pigtail adapters would have whatever type of plug you need on one end, and the other end would be two soldered tips that act as the male end to insert in to the charger. As a result, he's saying he wants to clip whatever existing adapter off the charger, and jam pigtail adapters in to a makeshift female plug. ... I could be totally wrong, as I'm still not making too much sense from the statement either. But if I'm catching what you're saying, I'm not sure allowing yourself to mix wire colours is the wisest of ideas. You always have to plan for the stupid user, even if it's not yourself. The last thing you need in your house is a volatile battery/chemical explosion or fire. Also, every time you reverse the charge polarity to a battery, you do shorten it's lifespan and could cause potential cell rupture. Also, some kittens around the world might die. It's generally easier (and smarter) to just create adapters... |

I think he reversed the charger's polarity not the battery, and now wants to be able to have reverse deans adapters to connect to the "wrong way" battery?

Hi,
i got what you said, i don't need to change anything. I'm gonna put some deans to the mini battery adaptor to change the polarity so that way it will be good, cause i've already got the charger set for when i want to recharge the large type battery, my bad. I forgot that i didn,t needed to modify anything with the large type battery. |

Hi,
in order to make myself be understood, i asked so top specialists at the NASA to help me do a very elaborate scheme that will let everyone know clearly what's i'm talking about. |

Ya, you need to change the chargers connector to use deans (male) as well. Then if you need to charge other batteries, you'd use a female deans to male large or small connector. There should never be any loose wires between your chargers connector and the batteries connector.

If you need a large to mini adaptor, you flip one of the connectors around (change the pins to the opposite side) so the polarity is opposite. Pretty simple. |

See attached
1. Charger with deans to deans batteries 2. Charger with male large connector, adapter with female large to male deans, deans batteries 3. Deans batteries with adapters made to use with guns that have small and large connectors. (note the adapter with the large is the same as the one I use to charge with) |

According to your drawing (very poor mouse writing BTW, worse than even my handwriting.... Lol), you want to make a large to small Tamiya adaptor, I've made those in the past and have found them useful, more to the point of having to charge a clients battery while working on his gun, and yes, are useful on the field as well if you are in a bind. But it's pointless to have it set up to be able to remove wires for whatever you are trying to point out. Hehe

Seriously, change everything YOU are using to Dean's, including large AND small batteries and the charger.
Then take 1 large male Tamiya and 1 female Dean's and make an adapter. Take 1 small male Tamiya and 1 female Dean's and make an adapter. Take 1 small female Tamiya and 1 male Dean's and make an adapter. Take 1 large female Tamiya and 1 male Dean's and make an adapter. You will have every thing you could possibly need adapter-wise, and get all the benefits of Dean's connectors when you don't forget to charge your battery. And NEVER lend an adapter to someone. It will not come back. I used to lose at least 5-6 adapters/month before I decided to stop. |
