Considering this thread has turned into a financial advisory meeting for myself, I'll kindly ask the participants to get back on track, or for the mods to delete this thread.
I'd also like all of you to consider that you don't have all the information regarding my financial state i.e. my Credit card maximum, how long I've been unemployed, when I'll be employed again, my living arrangements.

Thanks.

I'm not advocating that he spend that.. I'm saying he have that int he bank before he spends anything!!

screw that 3 months wages BS.. that is the Diamond Marketing lobby at work..

buy her what she will like .. if the only thing she will like is expensive .. find a different girl, it won't end at the ring...

Yeah, that three months wages "rule" is crazy. I didn't cheap out on the engagement ring but I based it on my 1994 salary when I first met my wife and not the 2002 salary I had when I got engaged.

To get back on track, I have bought a few airsoft pistols that in hindsight I probably shouldn't have. Luckily I was able to sell most of them quickly afterwards.

unfortunately women are suckers for the 3 month salary marketing BS. The whole wedding marketing BS.
If you are getting married, plan on spending a fuckton of money, forever, or until you die.

I guess the only thing to do now is post some sexy pictures of her to prove the naysayers wrong.

No real regrets, got a Hicappa I found I didn't like but sold it for more than I paid so that was a win.

It's funny, my cousin wants to elope but her boyfriend kind of wants a "traditional" wedding (in a church, with family, extended family, dinner, etc.).

Also I'm planning on buying a titanium ring (screw the diamonds... OK maybe with a small 1/2 ct. diamond). Titanium is awesome stuff, I mean they use it on spaceships so you know it has to be awesome material.

Anyways.... back on topic. I haven't made any purchases I regret but then again I haven't really spent that much on AS and I only spend what I can afford. The only regret I have is not having money to buy that Tourer V that I want but another $1000 or so is just like pissing in a lake, I actually need a real job to afford that Tourer V.

I don't think Ive ever regretted any money Ive spent on airsoft. Hell, right now i have around $3000 worth of guns... and I'm sure yet another few hundred in mags and gear.... but, i mean... i have a full time job and shit.. so...

I'm not gonna stop anytime soon either!

I may consider getting rid of my M4's.. (yes plural).. not sure yet though ha ha

In 1997, while covering the election of Charles Taylor -- a warlord who had raised whole armies of child soldiers -- as president of Liberia, I half-jokingly suggested to an aid worker that her group design a poster. It would show a young woman displaying the stump of her chopped-off arm. Below, it would say to American brides, "I can't wear a wedding ring so that you can."

I stopped buying the wife diamonds and she knows why.

Yeah buy as much AS stuff as you can. No regrets

Aside Dude, $450 for an engagement ring, If she's the one, you got forever, don't rush it.
