Yeah, that pretty much happened when I got my RS Type 56 2 years back. They were brand new and I managed, after a lot of searching around, to secure an importer who got it for me without gouging me for all I was worth. I had the first one on ASC, and possibly the first one in country. One I received it and posted my review of it, the frenzy started, and the floodgates on RS guns opened.

I consider myself lucky, as it's not until just very, very recently (with the new legal ones imported through the Safesoft initiative) that those guns are now selling for cheaper than what I got mine for. Most of the ones that I saw sold here on ASC cost at about 50% more than what I paid for mine.

If I won the lotto I think I'd buy an airsoft mini-gun and open my own field... in the backyard of my new house!

As for the gun I wanted popping up, it did after I already bought it and had the spring upgraded for outdoor, for the same price as I paid but already upto the 400 FPS.

I'll certainly feel the same as the OP if I see a Shoei FG 42 in the classfieds.

I've been seeing 1911s all over the place...

Can't you guys wait a month or two to start selling the good stuff? Why do you have to sell and revamp your kit for the summer anyway?

Buggers...

A dedicated airsoft field is a losing investment, it's something we all dream about but that's the reality of it, unless you can find other uses for the land and have others help split the costs it's not happening :P

www.lzottawa.ca

We've expanded the facility every year it's been open..it's not a money maker by any means but its surely not a losing investment either.

Ha! A couple in my hometown won $4 million a while back; bought a decent house (est. $250,000) & a damn nice Corvette (maybe $100,000?), then went on a cross-Canada road trip. Came back 18 months later broke. Must've been a fun year and a half...
