Dude, I am relaxed. Maybe you should take the second half of your own advice. It's simply my opinion, and since this is what a forum is for, I gave it. If you don't like what I said, feel free to ignore it. But it's also the feeling of a few females who play in Toronto. Just an FYI. Maybe we need an ASC thread for singles looking to hookup? The real thing is a lot better than a calendar.

And by reading the thread you will also see that ACTUAL FEMALE players are interested in this calendar (in the format stated above). It's ok to post your opinion, But before you flame a project like this, you should read the opinions of the concerned parties and not just assume that they don't like it. |

Yah I read it, sad read really...
Mostly little boys wanting to see some chics, preferably ones they find attractive in less gear the better. And some of the gals find this idea attractive and fun, which it might be, but for obvious reasons lots will decline as they prefer to be treated as players, not meat on the field for nerds to try a pick-up line with. I've seen weird guys in airsoft stalk other guys... lets keep them the target. And like RITZ said on May 5th, he's looking for all opinions— good and bad.

yes one opinion, but you don't seem to want to quit, okay yes some girls won't want to pose and thats fine by me
your against it okay what ever leave it at that, but don't blast my idea so far i've gotten alot of positive feedback from the men and girls alike. also i don't need your sarcastic remarks about starting a dating thread, just leave it alone you gave your opinion so move on. if you've got no more positive things to say please leave. |

and yet if you read it theres alot of positive so no you can't.
your all entitled to you opinions, but don't butcher the project and ideas its simple enough to just say, i don't agree with this for such and such a reason. but to go on and say that this is for "little boys" i find a little offensive. okay your against it leave it at that. don't keep going on and on about how this is a bad idea, and theres alot of girls who don't want to do it, and so on. listen this is a tribute to the girls who play, they will be fully clothed in gear and posed in real enviroments. |

I have read this entire thread...I do that before posting. If people who didn't agree with this idea didn't post and simply left...how would you ever know that there were people who didn't agree with this idea? I know a couple of female players who rarely post on this forum...and, wrong or not, I suspect that they would most likely be dissuaded from posting if they were going to be rebutted as in how you reply when a less than "Yeah, I'd buy one!" post is made.
I can only surmise that the second half of what your last post was directed elsewhere. Don't like how someone phrases something for emphasis...well, it's the Internet and this is a public forum. Personally, I'm not saying that this is a horrendous idea...plenty of guys take pictures of themselves and their teammates all geared up at games. Not sure that they'd make a coffee table book out of it or not. Teams make websites, team forums, blow up photos for wallpaper, etc... I do think this Airsoft Girls Calendar thing (that is the title of the thread) is weird...but hey, whatever floats your boat I suppose. I'd agree that there are some good female shooters out there for sure...tribute the hell out 'em (I'd wonder which ones would have responded to you to indicated their participation...). Personally, I think that it would be truer to the spirit of things if you ended up taking a collection of shots from all the games across Canada...guys and/or girls...and made up a calendar of that. From what I've seen in the other sections there are some amazing action shots (in game or posed). Just my $0.02...as always, feel free to ignore... |

Well we all knew not everybody would be happy with the idea... It's ok, lets not worry about it... Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and forums are really good for that... I am still positive about the idea, and so are other girls i talk to, but i can understand the ones that dont wanna pose, and that is totally ok... If they think it will represent them as object, i totally understand that... so on that note, lets leave it there, and the ones that are interested, lets keep going...

Been likewise following this thread for a while, and for better or worse, this seems to be pretty much like what the "Michigan Militia" did a while back;
http://www.michiganmilitia.com/frien...y/gallery2.htm (just screams "cultured" doesn't it?) I'm pretty sure that this endeavour will do nothing but dig us deeper into the hole that the liberal media in this country views has put us in. Only once the community produces a "Airsoft Girls of Canada" calendar, they'll be able to portray us as even more redneck/hickish than before. This seems like it's gonna go ahead anyway, but I do agree that a general themed Canadian airsofting calendar (featuring the work of some of the extremely talented photographers we have at games) would be received more positively and have higher sales. |

I did not follow this thread at all. But I saw some linked examples in this page.
I see that when people think "girls with guns" they think of a nice girls dressed in cheap, korny military outfits in front of a background smiling and looking stupid. IMO, that's a waist of efforts and, like it was said here, give us a bad image. If I where to produce that thing and make the photoshoot, I'd go with a more serious look, on location, with no "cheap sexual" aproach. I'd set the girls, well geared, in a little scenario, as if they where doing real military or police stuff. Not just showing their whites teeths and boobs. Or, if locations where not avelable, I'd got GTF2 style (refering to the GTF2 posters), with dark, mysterious looking girls comming from nowhere in the dark, looking deadly but still cute behind the gear.

Think an Airsoft Calendar would be an Awesome Idea... Can do individual pics (Staged) and action as well as team tactical pictures (Staged would be easier) of some type of action Using real Airsoft players no matter what the sex is... this is a showcase shoot not a "Sex shoot"
would be into doing that for Manitoba... |
