Sorry for the lack of updates. I have a lot of parts on the way, but they're still a week or two out. In the meantime, we're preparing all the injection moulded parts. They were finished over a month ago, but we've been held up waiting for the maching run to arrive.

I'm really sorry this launch is taking so long. It's hard to believe, but at one point I actually thought I'd be launching this damn thing for this past Christmas. I managed some improvements which made me decide to hold up the launch, but there has been a raft of unexpected delays ranging from suppliers not making deadlines or quality requirements to even injuries. Manchovie used to do some low volume machining for me, but he hurt his hand (non work related accident) which means I have to do both designing and machining.
I'm starting to regret beginning the marketing roll out so soon. The very enthusiastic response to news releases keeps me going every day, but I'm starting to feel like a Microsoft clown being pushed to a release date commited to by a zealous marketing department. I don't actually get to complain because I'm both departments (actually pretty much all of the departments). Chalk it up to outright inexperience. Next time I'm going to totally submerge and complete a project down to packaged product ready to ship before I start uttering a peep. I'm glad the preorder deposits were fairly small. I'm not doing a very good job of meeting my preorder obligations at this point. Luckily the quantity and total value was quite small. If you've made a preorder and you want to back out, I completely understand. Contact me and I'll return your deposit via EMT or mailed cheque. I'll even throw in an extra $5 for the ridiculous delay and lack of good release date info. Anyhow, we're still charging ahead. I've doubled my workforce to more rapidly assemble this labor intensive product. Despite the unexpected delays, progress still marches forward as we've bashed through everything that's gotten in the way.

I think anyone who has a preorder on this would give up their preorder spot only after you pried it from their cold, dead hands.
Business is business, we know you're trying. Things happen. |

Yeah man, the preorder folks (lucky fuckers) I think aren't going to give up their position.
Shit happens we all know that, but we'd much rather you keep pushing back and have a device that works as advertised and works well, rather then you pulling an EA and release on some preset date with a crap shoot. |

I seriously doubt anyone in the preorder list is about to give up the spot they have, i know i am not.
I am sorry to hear the problems keep stacking and i dont want to say you need it in x amount of time or anything but i was just curious if you had a rough idea of where you think you are at this point. it doesnt sound you like you are a week or so out from the way you worded it, do you feel you are around a month? 2 months? 6 months? from being completed again, not looking for an exact date, just want to know if this is something the the remaining balances should be ready either shortly or a few months down the road. |

Last time I checked he was still working on some quirks. He is probably assembling by now and trying to get a good stock going. He probably has a quota he needs to meet for Redwolf since they are his HK distributor for EU and stuff or whatever. When he said he would have it out for December 2007 I think it was a typo and it was supposed to be December 2008. If Carl is fixing something and hasn't released it yet, there is probably good reason. Just be happy you have a preorder unlike a lot of people who are waiting for this thing and are probably going to wait a while because it is likely to sell out fast.

Grenade is going well. Started major production and will be mired in a testing period to assure that first release product arn't overpriced junk.
Stay tuned...
