I plan on doing a full ATACS review and camo efficiency test once I get all the gear.

I put it out this Week end, the stuff is very effective on sand (pretty much what I expected, still effective on dry leaves and brown colored wood.

But I got too used to wearing armor chassis : with standard PC and coat I went in hyperthermia

Ok, just got a call back from Dennis at SORD. Here's the deal with their stuff.

1) They ran out of a majority of their initial fabric stock in the creation of trade show items and their Smocks (their big atacs release product are the smocks so it makes sense). They will be getting more fabric in stock soon and will begin fabrication of their ATACS uniforms (both light and regular field uniforms are not being produced right now) as soon as they have that.

2) Smocks & Hats are in stock in somewhat limited quantities.

3) All nylon products (pouches, etc.) are in full production and are fully stocked.

So they've credited back my card the difference on the uniform and will be sending my pouch and hat asap.

I'll just pick-up a set of propper pants for the time being I guess. I really prefer the SORD uniforms, but I'll just have to suck it up, lol. I'm on a list of people to call when they're back in stock, so I'm not too worried.

Double Post!

Just got word from 1800nametapes.com they'll be dropping A-TACS sometime next week!

We do have it but it's not quite ready. We are making it into to tape form. Should be online in the next week or so.

Their quality is absolutely top, so I'll be getting mine from them. Decent prices too!

Just curious if anyone has ever used krylon camo on pouches or anything? I did my M4 in A-Tacs and was thinking about trying it out on some pouches but didn't want to ruin them if Krylon camo won't work for fabric..

Here is the M4 sitting on my Propper BDU's

I know you can use some krylon paints on fabric, but it dries oddly. The camouflage paint isn't recommended to paint on any kind of fabric because of how hard it dries.

well that's just no fun. If I had a spare pouch I'd give it a go to see how it holds up, but I can't chance ruining what I've got for now..

Just got my helmet cover (for MICH 2000) from Tactical Perfomance. The quality is quite good. I don't have a helmet to put on but I will have one soon. I acually prefer this than water transfer on a helmet. Shipping wasn't bad at all. On their site, I was quoted 20$ but later they emailed me that shipping will only cost 10$ so they refunded me the difference. I also got a nice smiley thank you note on the reciept I got, very good CS.

IR tabs and I do like the velcro, adds a nice touch.

Anyone wanna tell me what's this flap suppose to do?

If it's a the front, it's to uncover the NVG mount.

That would make sense considering the shape of the flap..
