Upgrading Help!
I wanted to upgrade my Classic Army G36c, but do I have to get some other things other than a new spring?

I played for 3 years with a stock Classic Army G36. If I was going to recommend something, maybe a tightbore barrel and a new piston if its starting to show some wear.

Tightbore will upgrade the FPS, albeit only slightly but what it achieves is more consistency and accuracy.
How fast are you shooting now? What do you want to be getting? Spring and maybe a motor (if your current one can't handle stronger springs). Where are you located? Might help us to point you to who to talk to about upgrading (Read: We'll send you to a local gundoc).

Before I ever recommend someone up the FPS, I always ask why they want to. Not because it isn't a good idea per se, but because I want them to know exactly what it will, and more importantly, what it won't accomplish.
To up the FPS on the CA36 all you'll need is a spring guide (I'm running a guarder bearing spring guide in mine) and the spring for the desired FPS. Just remember that upping the FPS will only let you get BB's to the target faster. It won't do anything for range or accuracy.

Get age verified, get out to a game in your region, and play with it stock. Stock guns are great, and the longer you play, the better you know your gun, and you'll know when and what to upgrade.
But To answer your question, you will need a stronger spring, but remember, Higher FPS, does not by any means make a good gun. Most newcomers tend to think that(not saying your a noob), but the reliability, accuracy and range makes a good gun, not super l33t FPS. |
