Radio programming KYD

So I've had this KYD radio model KD-3188 for about 2 years now and I thought that it would be a good idea to finally figure out how to program this thing. Trouble is the instructions that came with it are about as useful as an ingrown toenail.
Does anybody out there have an easy how to guide on programming these radios with standard "walkabout" freqs or have any experience that they could write down for me.
I've done the search but really didn't find anything to useful.
Thanks for the help and if you have any suggestions such as another radio or a radio for sale that is programmed with the standard fregs that you would find on a talk about please feel free. to let me know

as promised:
---------

As you know you must put the SQL at 12.5 Hz. To do this, press on the FUNCTION button and *. Twist the ENC/SQL knob and choose either 10, 12.5 or 25 Hz then press DIAL.

To memorize the frequencies:
Type in the frequency, then press on FUNCTION. Twist the ENC/SQL knob and choose the number you want to lock the frequency to then press SCAN(i.e.: number one for the first frequency and so on…) To access the memory, press SCAN one time and twist the knob to navigate between frequencies. If you hold SCAN too long you will just cycle through the frequencies.

Re: KYD Programming

Hey Jakster,

Don't know if you still have this bit of kit, but unless im mistaken there was no mention of CTCSS codes. Do you know how to set this on the KYD-3188?

Thanks.

(yes i have read the UHF Radio Users sticky, I also dont have the user manual for this radio)
