G36 Magwell Converstion kit

So Private Parts Airsoft has a g36 magwell conversion kit (http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=21558). I have one in my hands right now and i put some M series mags into it and it seems that the mags do not lock high enough into the magwell therefor not pushing that wedge back on the mag to release BB's.

Is there a better magwell kit out there or does this private parts kit require modification?

It's you mags, not the magwell. I can put MAG brand armalite mags in my PP conversion and they work fine but my King Arms lowcaps won't even lock in. I tried TM, ICS, CA, G&P, VFC, and MAG and they all fit and worked fine. King Arms didn't fit at all and AE mags fit but wouldn't feed well.

interesting, b/c i used CA mags and none of them would go all the way in to push the wedge on the mag to allow BB's to move

I used a PPA Magwell conversion.

It was shit. Replaced it with a regular G36 magwell.

Apparently PPA made a couple different version of their magwell. Some work better than others. I've owned 2, and I've always managed to get them to work.

Other companies have released their own take on the PPA magwell since then. I know CA makes one, and there are at least one or two other companies I can't name right now.

I had the first version before.

KA mags are crap anyways,

I used successfully a cheap WALMART highcap in it and got no feeding problems.

I will test the newest version soon as I am switchting back to G36.
