They are TM compatible for the most part except for the actual gearbox. The split design is quite unique and the lower and upper receivers won't accommodate other gearboxes. The gears are the same except for the bevel/pinion gear (the ICS ones have a bit of a sharper angle) but those can be swapped and only becomes an issue if you're upgrading the motor or gears. Another difference is the anti-reversal latch (it's a different design so the forward assist releases the spring tension).

TM compatible bushings are tight fitting on the axles of the gears, but I think most ICS gearboxes come with steel bushings.

ICS bodies and mechbox shells are NOT compatible with any other mechboxes or bodies. They are proprietary and designed to work together. I believe most of the mechbox internals are standard V2 parts though, with some extra parts not found in a standard V2 mechbox, like the parts to release the spring by pressing the forward assist. I believe other than that, all other external parts are TM compatible, which makes them compatible with pretty much everything else.

I can't speak from personal experience with ICS, but I've noticed a number of them in the buy & sell section listed as "upgraded to metal bushings", so that would lead me to believe that in fact they come standard with nylon bushings. Or perhaps newer models come with metal whereas older ones came with nylon. As I said, I'm not speaking from personal experience here, just repeating what I've observed.

They also do not share the same hopup unit/design, as well as stock and/or stock screw.

So in other words, not much compatibility.
