 , sorry, but it's true around here. Try bringing up the laws regarding airsoft and you'll see the same thing.BTW, if you can find the licensed frequencies of users in your province, it shouldn't be much of a big deal to do so for other provinces. And my secure channels programmed are the same as the 5W walkie talkies that the frequency is licensed to my work, and I am in control of those radios, so we won't be stepping on any one's frequencies and causing crap. In Canada, there are frequencies that are listed in the GMRS/FRS range (which stops officially at 470.000), but are NOT in use on commercial GMRS/FRS radios. 462.7125 to 467.550 reside between the FRS and GMRS common bands, and 467.725-470.000 are also wide open.
UHF channels above 470 (to 608) are actually UHF television channels; there's a risk that you could clobber someone's public access television usage, but if you don't HEAR anything on it, you're not likely to trounce it. Last edited by MadMorbius; May 28th, 2008 at 15:55.. |
