I've heard that the STAR magazines do fit alright into the Cyma 031, I ordered that gun and it should be here within the next couple of days, I was even considering purchasing STAR ak47 magazines.

Will do, I ordered mine from shootsoft, the total came to around 350$ (40 dollar shipping fee).
Now I was debating wether to get a 5 pack MAG AK74 (100 round) or 10 pack STAR AK47 (30 round) and I think for appearance and overall use, the AK74 mags would be better, you won't need to worry about constant reloading, and as far as i'm aware, you still don't have to wind / listen to the rattle. Out of curiosity, are you going for a total Soviet/Russian impression?

if i go something, i go all the way. no mismatch marpat and cadpat or stuff liek that.
probably some type of russian grunt load-out. Flora camo and webbing.

How did you break yours in? I had issues with mine. I think there is some relevance to Serg as well.

I have a Unicorn which is not a CYMA, but it does have CYMA internals and is a china cheapy. It loves star mid caps. Star also makes orange mid-caps. There is some side play but that is my mag well and not the mags.

G&P AK74 magazines have a plum version with rib, they're pretty cool imo. Still trying to decide what's best for me.
