Optics
I play alot of games CQB in quite low light conditions (4.000 sq. Ft) with only a few small collection of red, blue and even fewer white LED light strings.
Im curious what style of optics would be better to use in those low light conditions. (iron sights, red dot sits both open or tube) Or any thing else you guys can think of.

I assume you are talking about trek, And there is PILES of ambient light to run a Generation 1 night Vision. If you check out optics planet.com and look at the nvg you will see a bushnell 4x50 Prowler monocular for 200. Wholesalesports(the one in deer foot meadows) Has the same one but for 300. I have heard that this monocular can mount onto a RIS rail, Looking at pictures it does look like it has a mount. I am going to head down to whole sale and check one out, I will let you know if it can mount to a 20mm rail

Laser trek? No they dont allow airsof there man. The only place actually in the city there I know of that does indoor airsoft is the campture the flag place on MacLeod trail in the south east I believe near the Boston Pizza and Jackasstors. The place Im refering to is a private place Ive been taken to a couple of times, a different grp of friends from the normals I go with.
As nice as that is would it fit on an H&K Claw mount? Im looking for a rifle mounted scope not a spotting scope for camping type things and thats what it seems to be. That and as for a NVG scope I dont think thats what Im looking for. In the capture the flag place there is one of those cheap party light balls (the ones you find as spencers) so there is light enough to see general shapes but not enough to tell team mate from enemy. Im looking for something thats going to add, contrast (gamma) I guess is what Im looking for to my sights. Just to make it a little brighter so I can actually see.

If it's CQB, I'd highly recommend a Reflex/open RDS. The tube sights take too long to line up; as you know, CQB is all about speed, not precision.
I, personally, use a Walther Reflex RDS, and I swear by them. The iron sights are decent, but they obscure your vision a lot more than an RDS does. You can also slap a light on the gun. In CQB, like you said yourself, you can see everyone, just not well enough to know if it's friendly or not. So using a light won't put you at a huge disadvantage like it would if you were out in a huge field...unless they're banned where you're playing. No tac lights are common usage but this place in the city here is dark. And very much about stealth. Using a light like that is a beacon that everyone in the areana can see and since most people dont have them we normally know who it is using it from the sound off the gun after the light lol.
I have no problem with a tac light at all, hell the MP5 A4 im getting will have the surefire handguard light ( i think thats whats its called) But thats why Im looking for a some optics that are good in quite low light with out having them be NVG. I was thinking of something like the AIMPOINTS with the 3x magnifyer maybe, or an grr I cant recall how its spelt but I think its the A.C.O.G.? They seem on But Id have to try them out and check to see if the magnification is a little to much for the 4X. But ya lol. Any other options that you can think of?

Well, I don't know about some specific models, but based on what I've used, an RDS just gives you a mock laser dot to aid in aiming; they don't actually brighten up whatever you're looking at. Maybe there are some out there that do, but I wouldn't know. The only other option I can think of are NVGs or a Night Vision scope.

Go for a simple reflex red dot sight, it's got the same functions as a regular red dot (dim control, adjust up/down, left/right), except it's open so it doesn't obscure your vision. A magnifying red dot is a bad idea in low light conditions, especially in CQB when you need your peripheral vision.

I'd get a quality red-dot that can be dimmed real low. Some aimpoint replica can dim, some don't.
For CQB, I prefer the aimpoint because it's more rugged than an open red dot, like the small doctor one. Iron sight, with the front sight painted white is still a great thing in CQB. But the red dot is quicker and easyer to aim.

Get a Eotech Reddot from dragonredairsoft.com ( Replica EOTech ) or get a glowing fibre optic site for the front of your iron sights to see easier with.

I chose this one over the one above for personal taste (I just love the look/style), and the price was awesome, courtesy of Xtreme-Tactics. He also has the one pictured above. Anyway, this sight is awesome. It has a little sight built into it just in case the battery dies on you in the middle of a battle, or if you happen to have it turned off or whatever. It isn't metal, but it doesn't matter. It's an awesome item.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned replacing your standard iron sight's with some nice glowing Tritium ones..

The trijon? ( i think thats what hey are ) i was looking at those they look cool. As for the dim controls on the RDS why would that "brighten" the area im looking at ?
And every time Ive gone to Laser Trek Ive been told by the manager that they dont allow airsoft there so thats where Im getting my information. If they do awsome I miss that place for the lasertag alone its a good place.
