Batteries for TM AK47
I'm just about to purchase a TM AK47. I found out that the battery is not included in the package. Then I read that this weapon takes 8.4V 3700mAh batteries (that I would have to purchase separately.. grr). The thing is: I have never owned an AEG. I have tons of CO2 powered airguns but I have never dealt with electric guns. I'm not too familiar with the batteries that these AEGs preform on. I read the sticky battery FAQ and studied the mAhs, but my understanding of this kind of science is very low lol. Although this AK47 takes 3700mAh batteries, is it possible to get an even higher one? On the website I'm purchasing this weapon from I couldn't find 3700s, just lower and higher batteries. Is it safe to do this?
Thanks. |

As long as it's not over 8.4V your gun will be fine. Higher amperage batteries will last longer and will increase ROF. Stock AK has crazy ROF on my 4200Mah battery. Also, if you are planing to upgrade the gun higher amperage battery is good to have.

also, some batteries don't fit, i know for a fact both a GP 8.4v 3000mah battery and intellect 8.4v 3600mah will fit. an intellect 8.4v 4200 will NOT fit

Thanks guys.
Here's another question I came up with. I was looking at all these GP 8.4V batteries but I noticed how some differ in size. I know that this TM AK fits the large battery type... but how exactly do those look like because I get so confused between certain batteries and I don't want to order the wrong one. |

I'm ordering this gun from Anderson & Anderson Airsoft because that's the only place I could find an AK47 in stock.
Here's a link to the battery section. Which one(s) would be a good choice for this gun? http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/index.php?cPath=39_56 |

intellect 8.4v 3300mah is perfect, the black cap on the end of the 3600mah version takes up space

I was wondering (a bit off topic), is the TM version of the AK47 one of the more advanced weapons or are there even higher performances AK47 AEGs?

stick to a good quality brand name man; intellect 8.4v 3300Mah large battery
the AK type batteries are for non-fixed stock versions where it sits above the mechbox. |

Alright well I ordered the gun today. I managed to find the 8.4V 3300mAh battery at a hobby shop downtown. Not by Intellect but by GP. I guess brand shouldn't really matter. It's the same thing. Now I'm just waiting for AK!!! Can't wait.
