CA/tm g36 mags

Hey guys, I was hoping to get everyone's opinion on which g36 series mags are the most reliable. Horror stories welcome!

Edit: Looking for lowcaps, can't stand the rattle of hi caps

I've used TM, CA, STAR, and KA and never had any issue. Not a single jam, misfeed, or malfunction. Didn't vote because I've never had a single problem with any of these 4 brands. A team mate of mine has G&P midcaps and he has to oil them and cycle them before each game or they jam up.

If you already have an armalite, share your mags and get a Private Parts G36 Magwell Conversion.

Great little conversion for $45 with the money saved from sharing mags.

Ive owned TM lows and highs, CA hicap, Star 30rnd and the MAG 100rnd. Ive used them in a TM G36 that I own now and a CA g36 that I used to own. All fead great except the star mags that gave a teammate problems feeding in his CA G36K.

The biggest problem with the G36 mags are the tabs breaking off. TM mags are notorious for this. A teammate of mine not only busted off both tabs of a Star mag when he droped them. But both female halfs of the magazine lock also broke off(plastic on the star mags is really weak). I have 12 MAG magazines and still havent been able to break off a tab yet. And thats wearing them on the front of my vest and falling and crawling around on them in prone position at a game.

The other problem with G36 mags is when you clip them together there is a wobble between the two mags. They dont lock together tightly with some brands and I think that contributes to the tabs breaking off. Out of the brands Ive seen TM is again the worst for this. The mags are really wobbly. If you put 12 of them together you can make them do the wave. The MAG brand mags however have a solid lock together. I put 12 of them together and tried to see how much wobble there would be and there was none at all. I couldnt even get them all to bend even a little bit. Star mags were a bit better then the TM mags.

In my opinion MAG brand mags are far superior to TM mags and other brands. And considering the price point is less then half that of most other brands it makes a good deal even better. Most of my team are running with MAG brand mags now.

The TM locaps are the best looking

CA have the best hicaps

King arms feed the best IMO, and look great, and at only 20 dollars a mag, there well priced (especially with fake rounds) However there a litte hard to get in a CA magwell perfectly.

I cant stand STAR mags.

both my friend and I have had CA and TM lowcap mags, we had misfeeding issues, but we're certain its the CA stock tappet plate. Only misfeeds on semi, no problems on full

I went for CA locaps for my TMG36C, they were 10$ cheaper then the TMs on WGC and never had a problem with them.

I use Classic Army Hi-caps in my Tokyo Mauri G36c and I havent had any problems until just recently with them. One of the mags has a problem feeding. It would only feed a few bbs at a time and it made my gun dry fire causing my piston head to freak out and I had to replace it.

Have 4 G&P lowcaps, 2 TM lowcaps and 1 CA highcap. On those G&Ps almost all locks have been broken. I usually group them by 2, but those G&Ps are of weak plastic. It's matter of locking them, if you do it hard - the plastic breaks. You have to be quite cautious by doing that.
Otherwise all 3 brands are feeding well into my CA36. Never had a problem of misfeeding.

for the record, KA are extremely strong an i found out today, i dropped 2 locked together down the staird by accident, and they tumbled hitting the haard wood everytime, and then smashed into the granite kitchen floor with a loud crash, good as new.
