Thanks guys,

Ive decided to sell off the FF cylinder set components since I need some cash. So I decided to throw the SPR380 spring into the OK set to see what kind of power it yields. Here is the result

Used KSC 0.20g BBs - 10 shots - Avg: 596fps - High: 603fps - Low: 591fps

Underground, the Type 96 stock is not flat-black as you noted from my pics. It has a more composite ABS build, probably to add realism in feel and look, so as to not look like shiny plastic. It has a wonderful build quality and feels great.

Are using the stock Hopup chamber? If so, does it provide enough hop at those velocities. Ive given up on my PDI chamber and I cant seem to get enough hop out of the stock one. Ive since dumped the Type96 in the closet in favor of a VSR10 but Id love to bring it out of retirement one day if I can find a solution for the hop.

I get a ton of hop from the stock unit turned all the way up. Perhaps your hop up rubber is just worn or deformed?

I dont think Ive even put 200rds through the stock hopup with many of those being while the Type96 was still stock and after inspection it appears in mint condition. Ive thought of wrapping some teflon tape around it to make it a bit more stiff. When I did this to my VSR10 it allowed me to set the hopup lower but still achieve lots of hop. I guess I should stop talking about it and just do it! Ive invested so much time and cash into this thing... Id love to get it working again. BTW.. your Type96 is looking shweet! Good work.

Cheers
