M1100 accessories

I seem to be having an exceptionally difficult time deciding what I want to do with my M1100 revision. After reading this as a guide, I wonder, is it more practical to buy a longer barrel/magazine tube kit for an airsoft M870, or to attempt to add on real steel extension kits. Will the M870 magazine tube even fit on the M1100 revision? Would I need a new magazine spring for the M870 one? Could I use the included spring from a real one?
I also can't seem to find anything on pistol grip style fore ends for the M1100, real steel or otherwise. There are plenty of real ones for the M870 though. Will these cross from real to airsoft, and also from the M870 to the M1100?
Lastly, I can only seem to find two stocks that would fit. An M4 style collapsible one and a more classic 870/1100 folder. I don't particularly like the looks of either of these. I'd prefer an EBR type of stock and they make them for the spring powered CA870 equivalents, but I don't think there's anything like it for gas powered guns. The accessories review I linked up top spoke of incompatability with real steel stocks.

Basically, it comes down to:
I want a slightly more comprehensive list of what real steel accessories fit on either the M1100 or M870, as well as what accessories are cross-compatable between the M870 and M1100.

I am sooo confused right now...

M870 and M1100 accessories should be swappable, however CA870 (all the spring shotty line) will require modification. As far as I recall real steel mag tubes ect. will require extensive custom work aswell.

Bah, those things that I thought were for the M870 are actually for the CA870... This is going to be a lot more work than I thought...

Ok, so here are some more specifics:
How similar are the inner barrel setups for the CA870 and M870/1100? Are the inners interchangeable within the different mounting systems and hopups? (externally, it looks identical, but I have no idea how the hopup actually looks on either)
How similar are the magazine tube setups? I know that the CA870 one screws on. Is it hollow? Does the thread happen to match the thread on the end cap of the M1100 revision tube mag?

I'm not to sure how compatable m1100 and m870 accessories are, but GB Tech has some upgrades for the m870, steel body, barrel, rail and stock. No dice though on a front grip.

http://www.gb-tech.com.tw/_newsite/e...ShotGun_EN.htm

check it out.

Yeah. All the important ones are for the CA870, which (as I've gathered from reading about them) is mostly incompatible with the M870/M1100 series. The M gas powered ones use shells fed from the tube magazine, while the C spring powered one has a detachable box.

But if anyone could point out exactly what is compatible and what isn't, I'd be quite grateful. The details I'm looking for most are the hopup/inner barrel mounting system, and the magazine tube mounting system/dimensions.

I also wonder if the nice collapsible CA870 stock there can be modified in any way to either accept the original M870/1100 grip and gas components, or at the very least, have an external gas supply routed through it.

haha, my bad, I didn't realize the stock was for the CA only, and your right, pretty much all upgrades come only for the CA versions that I've seen. I'm looking at getting an m870 myself and haven't found much in the accessory department for it as well.

There is a stock by PM Concept that accepts gas, although it appears to be in a CO2 powerlet sized tank stored in the grip... why its not in the buffer tube I do not understand..

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=17378

It is expensive, but combined with http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=18802 rail it is the only way to make a copy of this now out of production kick ass shotty

Oddly enough it was a Canadian firm that made the stock and rail conversion for the real steel.

Wow, that shotgun is teh secks...

Darn it, I'd originally written off that stock due to the cost and the regular folder is starting to grow on me. Seeing that beast is making me seriously reconsider... (but $258+98USD?! my wallet is crying over the other projects I'm running) Is the rail that comes pre-attached to the stock/grip removable? I may go for an ATI heatshield with ghost ring sights and the rail would probably get in the way of using those.

Wait, I just found this. It looks to be gas compatible (and it's in the buffer tube too, see the hose coming out?) and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the one on redwolf. It looks closer to the one on the shotty there too - more squared over the smoth rounded PM one.

Also, a quick trip to a local gun store and I found a bunch of mag extensions, as well as the pistol grip fore-ends. I'm hoping that the conversion process from real to airsoft isn't too complicated.

Ok, so I've managed to bodge the pistol grip fore-end on. It's not exactly pretty. There was a good 7-8 mm difference in the diameters of the pieces (I assume partially because I'm missing some of the pump related fore-end parts from the 870 on my 1100). Instead of filling out the difference with an appropriately sized pipe, I sawed off a sliver of the grip and super glued it on. This made some mess that I will have to sand down/cover up, but you can't see the cuts I made because they're hidden by the barrel (and soon, the heat shield. will update on that installation when I get it).

I've also done a partial disassembly... more bad news... The M870/1100 mounting system for the magazine tube is COMPLETELY different than the CA870. There's pretty much no hope of fitting the spring series magazine tube on. The only way to lengthen it is a real steel magazine extension, or a long donor part. Like in the guide I posted at the VERY top, the unthreaded interior of the extension fits quite nicely over the threaded part of the magazine tube. I really recommend getting a plastic extension - I'm sure the fit will be better. Anyways, just reiterating what was in the guide, saw off the threaded part of the extension and fit it over. I'll probably drill some holes through and fit a pin in to make it more secure if I have the time. This will be a fair pain to do since I went for a blued metal 9 shot extension.

Does anyone by chance have a full size barrel set (no magazine tube) from either the M870/1100 or CA870 series that I could buy?
