As long as the pins are the same, ya should work no problem at all.

Not exactly the case. Icom and Kenwood radios have the same pins, but are wired backwards to each other.
What I'd do is grab a Cobra radio and the Motorola headset and test them.

Best to find out, my old motorola headset on my cobra would lock it into a constant state of transmit till I unplugged it.

No it won't work. You will have to get a cobra headset for a cobra radio or a motorola headset for a motorola radio. Like Ibby said, the 2 brand are wired backwards.

A single pin motorola will not work with a single pin cobra..tried..they are wired inside diff. You need a single pin made for cobra..what model cobra? send me the details (PM) and I can send you some links to cobra headsets..
