Just seeking clarification

I know there was things being said about the gallery becoming age verified only. I went to go poke at it and found I couldn't connect to it. So did the age verified be the only ones that can get into the gallery go threw. Or is my issue a glitch and all can access it except me.


I am asking cause I couldn't find news on it or any other topic about it.

Good thing I searched on it. I was just about to start a thread about the same thing. Is there any reason why the gallery became Age-Verified only? Or did it? I cant see a reason why it should have become age verified...

Yes, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Which makes little sense to me as having a gallery to boast about your stuff and paint and help paint a picture of what we are all about (many pictures show we are guys just having fun not terrorists) is kind of pointless when only those who already know what's in there can look at it.

I changed it to Age Verified temporarily to work out some issues with the Gallery.

Unfortunately, people see only what they want to see. Even if there are photos of us having "fun" - anyone can make us out as "terrorists" if they wanted to. As well, there are countless of retarded pictures in there too that needs to be weeded out. I just haven't had the time lately.

One of the main points for Age Verified users to access the gallery was so that we know who's accessing it. Anyone can register a dummy account to access the Gallery if they wanted to - thus Age Verification allows us to know who's actually accessing it and for what purpose.

But anyway, as I've said - this restriction is only temporary until I get a couple things sorted out.

it really is too bad, but if people did an image search our images would come up. with the age verification in place, well lets see.....

well our images nolonger show up on image searches. time will tell if the admin / mods repeal it or let it stick.

I am not having a problem with it. The only problem I had with it is now solved.

On a good note it will do some good for us. I am all for it.

Just a small request. Can some one do a news thing about gallery being age verified. So this topic doesnt come up again. Or make this one a news topic. Something to tell the not so educated about this matter.

Again, concerning outside sources, I'm still boggled as to why nobody is setting up a robots.txt file to control what can be spidered/archived. All legit crawlers will look for and respect the robots.txt file (notably Goggle, which is the only one I know that will search out images)

I'm not 18 for a few more months but i really liked looking through the gallary at peoples gun, and getting an idea of what a gun i may want in the future looks like all pimped out, am i going to be SOL untill im 18 or could there be a better way to sensor it?

I don't care about ages (as long as your mature) but i would advise you not to parade your age around cause some guys on here are extremly anal about the 18 only thing

And can't wait till you take off the restriction on the gallery
