Extremly low FPS -AK74
What I have here is a new ICS AK74m. never been fielded.
I installed a prometheus SP120sp and ran it through a chrony. I was getting around 75m/s or around 250fps the piston head seemed to be in ugly condition, so I ordered a systema piston head and a gaurder nozzel and just installed them. once installed, i still get poor fps...all less then 100ms the hopup is lubed and in good condition. and is nice and close to the mechbox(suspected a gap, but thats not the case). Im all outta ideas. the cylinder is getting a good airseal, as is the piston head and nozzel. the hopup is fine... beats me chrony is fine as its getting good fps on my M4. im gonna try another spring, but if anyone else has any ideas, lemme know. |

So anybody wanna chime in why there's been so many dud springs lately? Or has it always been this way? (the PDI 150 comes to mind)

I was surprised...since it was a prometheus...and they are known for their quality and consistancy.
It was a green spring like it should have been, but it was about 1 inch shorter then the MS110 as soon as I tossed in the MS110 I was getting 110m/s on the dot with the MS120, I was only getting 75-85m/s so ill settle for 110m/s for now...much lower then I would prefer. out of the 5 springs I have , this is the 2nd one with odd results. |
