Radio headset compatibility

This is pretty simple, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

Is the single pin used with most Motorola radios (I just have a pair of simple Future Shop Talkabouts) the same as the single pin for Garmin Rino GPS units?

I want to get a single throat mic to work with my talkabouts while in CQB and with my (potential) Rino in the field.

i have the motorola talk abouts and a few rhino 120's. i use my throat mics on both radios with no problems.
