Classic Army MP5 SD2 B&T
Anyone know how to take a CA MP5 SD2 B&T apart? I've looked at the exploded view but it doesn't seem to help much.... If you have pictures of taking yours apart, that would be nice.
Thanks in advance for any help. Joker |

This section should be used for "solutions" to problems. But here goes:
Remove the stock via the body pins at the rear. Then remove the screw/pin unit behind the mag release. This will allow you to remove the lower complete with the mechbox . Anything beyond that, you should really take it to someone who knows AEG's. If you're taking apart for repair or upgrading, send it to a good gunsmith. They will know what to do and in the end it will save you a pile of $$$ just to have it done right the first time.

Mcguyver,
Thanks for you help.. Sorry, I thought this was the section for posting questions.... I guess I should pay a little more attention to details....probably why I can't figure out how to take my gun apart. |

No problem. Just take your time and be patient.

Wait, I didn't know that CA MP5s have the quick take-down feature. I thought only ICS MP5s could do that. Is this a recent development from CA?

I was able to figure out how to take it apart. After removing the pins, what I did was slide the whole receiver to the rear and it came out easy as butter.
My CA MP5 SD2 B&T is brand new for 2006 by the way. |
