Gas gun care
I've recently got Tokyo Marui Hardkick DE.50
Just placed order on green gas (propane adaptor), waiting for it Just wondering, is it bad for a gun if I cock the gun and shoot it without gas/ammo? It's kinda boring to have a gun and having it just as a decoration while I'm waiting for a gas. (Without a gas it's just... cock the slider and sound of "click" when I pull a trigger coz it's no pop up system. And when there's no BB's in clip, when I cock the slider, slider just remains being open...cool! just like a real gun) Coz I read in a Japanese manual it's bad for the gun....I think not sure, that's why I'm asking this. |

Well if it says its bad in the manual, I would take their advice. Thats what its there for....

NOOOOOOOOOOOB FEST......w00t...ok. The part that broke on my gas Sig Sauger P228 was caused by not having greengas and I repetitedly dry fired and double tapped. The small spring that moves the mechanism to rotate the hammer snapped and there are no replacements for it. So remember although tempting try to avoid doing stupid things.

Even with a real gun, just shooting it (dry-firing) when it's empty is bad and will eventually snap parts off or do severe damage to the firing pin.
And I've seen that happen. Airsoft are not built to take that abuse. If the Instruction Manual says not to do it, errrr, dont? You should not even have to ask. |
