Wiseowl, Greykin:

Thanks guys! I've been tempted to go the "escort" route for a while, but hadn't had anyone give any really black and white descriptions of them.

Thanks for the info/video.

Dynomite - My idea would be similar to the look of an escort grenade, but would function more like your idea...

I think it's feasable, but I don't know about using a winder. The kind of pressure you'd need to really "FLING" the bb's would probably be too much for a gear/winder type mechanism.

Straight springs, and a bunch of tubes would probably work pretty well though. Shoot me a PM sometime, I'd like to chat about my ideas if you've got the time.

How about this design for improved scatter performance? Sorry for the poor art quality, I only have MS Paint.

It's similar to the concept I'm looking at with the spring-tension grenade. I like the idea of multiple pathways, because it lends itself to being thrown or rolled and even though you sacrifice a few tubes full of BB's, most of them will be flung outwards.

I bought 2 of them, and have absolutely no complaints, and several of the local guys have even filmed one going off, once I can get a copy of the video from them I will post a link for them.

Very Kool, I love it.
Are they difficult to reload?

Nope not at all, there is 2 rubber seals on string, you push one in first, then load your BB's then cap the end with the other one.

Then you charge it up with Propane (I usually use about 4 3 second bursts).

In fact its faster then loading up a GBB mag....

They may seem expensive at $95, but considering they are reusable, quite durable (steel and hard plastic construction - I've thrown mine onto concrete and not marked them yet). It's well worth the price. I've set each of mine off about 14 times now, with no issues.
