real buttstock on AEG?
I know it is a weird question but worth asking:
I am trying to build an AEG with as many DD parts as possible, but I cannot find any AEG version of their stock. I have found their website that they do sell stock and grip which looks pretty nice but I want to know if they may go on a regular AEG buffer tube or not before ordering. specifically looking at this: https://danieldefense.com/furniture/...-mil-spec.html |

Depends on your buffer tube. Milspec tubes are 1.148" (2.92 cm). Commercial are 1.168" (3 cm). So a commercial stock will fit on a milspec tube but not the other way around. AEG tubes are kind of all over the map.

Just get a buffer tube that is milspec in diameter. I have a couple that I had gotten from Toronto Airsoft and can use a milspec Magpul stock on it with no wiggle/wobble.

Airsoft buffer tubes are almost always smaller than mil spec
Certain aftermarket tubes such as dytac are mil spec Others like G&P is the only one I know of that is larger than mil spec, and is necessary to prevent wobble with many plastic stocks such as RS Magpul. |

If it does wiggle a little just put a couple stips of electrical tape on either wise of the tube.

I did it often but always machined my own buffer tube to fit what I using.. 80% of my ar have or had real steel stocks on them. some of the perks of having a machine shop at home....
