Choosing a gun for your girlfriend

My girlfriend enjoys guns, and is interested in getting her own equipment rather than using my spare stuff. I'm doing some research for her, trying to find something reliable, that isn't too heavy as well.

She isn't sure what style of gun she would like, so feel free to suggest anything. I've been thinking of something like an ACR...

I would really appreciate hearing from any female players and what they enjoy using.

My wife loves the MP-5 and the G36. Both are light weight and easy to get lots of extra's!

Even if you go the M4 route you can get an SBR that is light and easy to handle and has the benefit of having a magazine that's compatible with a lot of guns.

ACRs tend to be a little bigger but the polymer body is pretty light.

What do you use as your primary? I recommend something that shares the same style magazine at very least.

Weight shouldn't be a problem with the vast majority of blasters out there.

VFC KAC PDW

Very light and versatile gun.

Can be compact or long with a fordable stock and swap-able outer barrels. Want even longer length add the QD silencer.

Best of all its a VFC so you know your getting quality.

If she's on the smaller side and wants something lightweight, something like a P90, CQB length M4, or an MP5 would be a good place to start. All have access to upgrades parts and accessories. If she isn't concerned about weight, she should get whatever she finds to be an interesting platform, maybe an M60. Main thing is that she's comfortable with the weight, ergonomics, stock length, function and locations of fire selector/mag release ect. Same factors you would consider when recommending a gun to anyone else. Pick a platform she's comfortable with and then find out which manufacturer makes good versions of that platform.

- G&G CM Raider
- TM P90
- any VFC M4

MP5s are always good, but around here, we've had our share of wives/girlfriends going pistol only with Marui MK23s. They were sneaky and deadly, inside and outside. They bruised the ego of many men.

The A&K ACR has a heavy metal upper (not super heavy), so if you go that route then I guess the PTS version to save a little weight, but ACRs aren't little by any means, as mentioned above.

M4 CQB is always a safe route, it's very customizable with tons of upgrade parts and everything available everywhere and good pricing.

Depends a lot on your wife.

Mine prefers my SCAR-H to my 10" M4 build (almost twice the length and weight!)

For light guns, PDW and/or XCR are very nice choices. Tuff and small, but not weird like a P90 and uses more common mags than MP5/G36c.

But really the best thing to do is bring her to an airsoft store, and have her hold guns all day. At the end of the day, make her choose what model to hold for the next hour. That will be the deciding factor.
