Mmmm good point. Just wasn't sure what keywords to google. I'll give it a go and see what I find.
Little off topic but I'm actually looking for an AK scope... The elcan look kind of weird of it anyways. Any suggestions on AK scope? Like brand etc? I have a feeling it might be illegal to get a legit one in Canada.

there is a guy here is selling a real PK-01Vi Red dot for 200 dosh. (or so he claims) But hey, you can search it up..I don't suppose to i can say the place or link. if you really want PM me and i can give you the link since you are AV'd.. also check out the sales on the forum..they might have one.. anyway. I don't see many russian optics here. So maybe ship over seas..but again, you can't test it before it gets here. It didn't seem that common that AK's have optics anyway XD

Russian optics?
Kalinka Optics or Eastwave seem to be the usual "go to" sources. So much want for a PK-A Venezuelan or PK-01 VS... Best looking Russian RDS imo, but can't justify the $$$ for what's essentially a lower sitting red dot w/o that offset... But they're just so damn sexy when mounted on an AK. Here's a great source of info on Russian glass if you're not sure what to look for. http://russianoptics.net/

I'm open to options.
I did looks at some scopes but most are a huffy $400ish... Steep price tag but than again, I doubt clone could handle the GBBR... Thanks again for all the helpful info. Greatly appreciated.

That makes more sense. It's a ak74. Wooden lower front grip and a folding stock... Errrr I would say it's oldest style. Definitely not tactical set up. Though it does have a side mount rail.

Get the mount that replaces the tangent rear sight and put the optic on that if you don't have a rail.
