air nozzle sticking out too far.

I have recently switched out the air nozzle and piston head in my clone pdw. its a v2 mechbox. My PROBLEM is that after i tore th gearbox apart 3 times, is that the new nozzle sticks out too far into the hopup. the gears cycle just fine.
what has me scratching my head is that the new nozzle is the same length as the old one. the only difference is its brass instead of plastic. i never had this problem before with the old nozzle and my tappet plate has never given me any issues and appears normal. compression is also alot better which is what i want, but now BB's will not feed into the chamber they are blocked by the nozzle.

Can anyone give me any advice please???, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check with a caliper? Because .02" is enough to cause misfeeding. I know this because I made a few custom length oversize air nozzles for a raggady ass ARES MK46

I did not, i pretty much eyeballed it. definitely something i will keep in mind next time i change it. if there is a difference, its probably very very small. i will most likey put the old nozzle in and see if the problem goes away. thanx.

You could either get a new nozzle or add some material to the front of the tappet plate to make the nozzle sit further back.

Make sure your tappet plate is working and isn't worn. Some manufacturers, not mentio ingredients names, make their tappets out of a very soft plastic which flex, twist and squish over time. Factory replacements are the same and proprietary parts don't have great aftermarket options
