AK47 Single sling?
I am trying to find a local source for a single sling adapter, but no one carries one.
Anybody using one? Thoughts?

You mean a single point sling? Take both ends of an AK sling and attach them to your stock sling loop.

Amazon.com: Ambidextrous AK 47 Sling Adapter Plate: Sports & Outdoors
It is a plate that goes ontop of the grip.

Yes, sandwich between the grip and receiver. So, unless you are using a GBBR, which might fit, an AEG AK which has the motor in the grip, will not fit.
