OLD Gen 1 Systema Metal AEG Body Discussion
So this past weekend I had a great chat with Wallace from Zshot.com, he is also a long time Systema colleague, and he happened to notice on the BB Bastard Expo display, my M4 featuring a 10 year old original Systema Metal body.
Well he was shocked, very rare these days! We asked eachother the question, I wonder how many are left?? Well I pose the question, Who else has one, and who is still running with one? These are AEG bodies, not PTW. What is the condition? Mine has been broken in 3 difference places, and i have been very creative in keeping it going, alot of JB Weld and screws in places. Love this body, will hate the day that I can no longer run it.. Derek

its a part that I got from UN company in HK a while ago when I still have Hot Shots, it was meant to replace the ZEKE body but the stupid perfect fit measurement Systema have was too small to accomodate the newer reenforced box at the time so it was shelved and forgotten until a couple years ago when I moved, for today quality standards it would be looked upon as a cheap ACM knock off for the untrained eyes but in fact back in the days these were teh most sought after metal bodies upgrade for your Marui.

About 5 of them passed through my hands through the years. 2 of them were BNIB from HK, circa 1999
Recently I sold a complete AEG with one, currently have one, was going to sell it, then changed my mind. Nothing today comes close to the density and rigidity of those bodies. The 2 most recent ones, both in pristine condition. Last edited by Stealth; June 11th, 2013 at 11:39.. |

There's still 3 of them in my collection. M16A4, M4A1 and a GB-Tech Mk 12 Mod0 conversion. All have been painted and still have the 2 rear locking tabs.
They ran about $350-400 new when I bought them over a decade ago. Real solid fit.

I've recently got my hands onto a old school metal body of unknown make.
has 2 rear locking plate, seems to be a aluminum make, rather thin, the finish is dim grey rather than black, slightly rough to the touch and has great M16 trademarks on it. it has a NON threaded front end for the upper receiver I cannot for the life of me find the make of the body, im left with no clues, |
