Rail not fitting on MP5

I got a high profile rail for my G&G MP5 SD6 and its not grabbing properly, it's like a millimetre too short. It's supposed to be made for an mp5. Are there crap ones out there that just don't fit and I happened to get one?

Well that's not the most common type of rail for MP5s so it sadly might have been made for some specific model. If it's a mm too short, can't you just sit it a little more forward or backward? Perhaps a picture on the gun would help us help you figure it out.

Is there a cap over the rear claw mount position that needs to be removed? My MP5K had a cap that fit over the rear alignment tabs that I had to pop off. The cap itself is shaped the same, so it wasn't obvious to me when I first tried to fit a claw mount RDS.

This assumes the millimeter to short is the length of the claws, not front to back.
