Hong Kong airsoft trouble makers
So apparently some bright kid decided it was smart to start shooting people in the apartment building across from them from about 50 meters away.
This is one of the rare cases in Hong Kong in which has been brought to the media. I guess stupidity transcends throughout the world. If you can read chinese or understand Cantonese you should take a look at the video in the link http://hk.news.yahoo.com/video/-1600...8-73188246f952

you probably haven't been to hong kong
Its usually around 20 degrees in winter with an insane humidity which makes its 25 degrees. Also since the air conditioners take up lots of electricity to turn on people usually just turn on one of those floor fans and open the window to ventilate. and usually people don't expect plastic pellets flying through their window nor any projectile for that matter :P

Don't worry, his mom probably brought out a bamboo cane or two, the kid won't be doing this again.

People are people... it doesn't matter what corner they live in the world.
This is not exactly the first incident. I have heard of many incidents like that in the past. |

Was it just me or did that BB looks a bit larger then 6mm?
phloudernow's right, my wife says we're lucky here that we can hang our clothes out to dry where in HK they couldn't because of the crazy humidity just makes anything your put out musky after 3 days on the hanger.

I think it looked bigger than a 6mm as well (but it was zoomed in, so it's a bit hard). If the kid was shooting from the next building, there is no way that a normal AEG can reach that far. A bolt action rifle probably.

Im pretty sure a GBB can reach the window (if they accept them in this country)

I read in a different article that one of the guns that he'd used to shoot people, was a 1000fps pellet rifle. He'd used it to lodge a pellet two inches in some chick's neck, who was standing by a bus stop. She had to get surgery to have it removed.
Or... that could have been a completely different incident altogether, but it was in the past week. |

I think that was a different incident. In that case, the pellet went 2 inches deep into the woman's shoulder/neck. The range was like "500 meters", according to a hong kong newspaper. It was some kinda swiss airgun that is used for hunting and it shoots metal pellets.
