hey Everyone Just got my First gun been going out to the field non stop. I got the King Arms M4 just to get me started and out there till I can afford to buy a better M4. I am looking a getting an Acog or possibly a red dot just wondering if I could get some suggestions for both.
Thanks. |

I don't use scope or RDS's, hell I hardly even use the iron sights on my guns.
Airsoft guns aren't accurate enough or consistent enough to use a scope/RDS effectively. |

For the look just get any ACM (All China Made) POS scope. I just have the red dot for the look to be honest.... Although that said I still do have my red dot co witnessed against my irons and kind of use it, kind of.
Also it depends on the look you want to achieve. If you want to build a Block I SOPMOD then build one up. What does that mean? Anything from an ACOG 4x scope (although you can get airsoft ACOG x1 scopes that look like x4's), KAC drop in RIS/RAS, KAC BUIS sights, Harris bipod. That's just one of the many things you could do to your gun, or you could even pick and choose things you think are cool. For example if you like the look of the Tango Down battle grip, who's to say that it's right or wrong. What I suggest is looking in the media section here and online just to get an idea of what's available and what's out there for you because for the AR15 platform the sky is the limit, hell you could even pickup a "tactical 12oz. refreshing beverage holder" to attach onto the rail of your gun (those things actually exist....).

I've used the King Arms ACOG type red dot they are quite good for the price, I've even used them on my GBBR without issue.
If you want a almost bomb proof red dot without going to a real steel Eotech or Aimpoint try the sightmark sold by BBbastard they are actuall very good for the price, I have it mounted on my RS CZ and my 870 Shotty |

when I started playing I was getting no hits at all, so I bought an ACM "holographic" reflex sight, and my game improved massively. if you arent going to aim down your sight and look at what you're shooting, you may as well play paintball!
I would recommend the ACM 552. its nice looking, good aim, easy to attach. but any standard red dot found on ebay for dirt cheap will do ya good. |

a reflex reticle is super useful on the field at 100+ ft...in cqb... you can just aim down the barrel.
I find the eotechs generally to be really crappy... they aren't bright enough in bright sunlight. If you are going to buy an eotech replica, make sure you try it out first in bright light before buying. Sucks when you spend 50-70 over the web on an optic and it's garbage. Zoom/magnification is pretty useless for most airsoft guns, your average effective range is about 60-110 feet... When you can accurately hit a dinner plate beyond 150 feet, that's when you might consider getting something that can zoom since that's about the distance you start to lose sight of it without help. I am using a cheaply made C-mOre red dot.
It might just be my unit, the fitment is wobbly |

The only reason why I use my specter is to watch enemy movement from a distance. Otherwise I just watch where the bbs fly, especially if it's a windy day, totally useless other than the "cool looking" factor.
