G&G F2000 or AKMS
In general for those of you that own either of these guns, do they hold up well and are they overall good guns? I've taken a good look at some reviews on the net but none seem to show how these handle over time. I ask because Im looking to get one used but I can't seem to find them in Canada anywhere

What Strelok said. Also, you're going to get VERY LITTLE HELP in locating/purchasing said guns until you are AGE VERIFIED.
Just a suggestion, but a highly recommended one. |

I was trying to get age verified and I contacted one of the Verifiers from Windsor ON but he was busy with work...so I'm going to contact another. If ones free Id happily meet them at tims and buy them an Ice Cap or something.
Anyhow can anyone tell me that when I get AV'd will I likely find one of these guns in the classified section or would I have to watch out for a long time because they are rare? |

It's not just classifieds that become available, there are retailers who either stock what you want or can get what you want.

There are retailers that stock both of those guns. Typically the AIMS is about half the price, but both guns perform very well. There is one of each on my team. I run the AIMS and a teammate runs the F2000 (with a shit ton of upgrades, mind you).

Trash disposal is probably the best part of being age verified.

Thanks for the help everyone. My last question would be, is it unrealisitic to expect to pay 2-300 for those two guns (used or new)

yes it is for a FN 2000 you probably pay about 700$ with tax for a new one

Where have you guys seen retailers selling the G&G AKMS?!! I haven't seen any carry that baby.
If someone knows, could you please send me a link? As for Matija's question, It's all about preference, some (myself included) love AKs, some don't. G&G makes good quality stuff, but I've had issues with previous models stripping their own gears, so you might want to look at their internal construction. I'm pretty sure the AKMS uses the version 3 gearbox which is a breeze to work on in my opinion. I have no idea what kind of gearbox is in the FN2000, my guess is that it's a proprietary gearbox. On the up side, it looks like the FN2000 has a longer barrel due to the bullpup design, so if you're looking for accuracy that might be a plus. What kind of role were you thinking of playing in an airsoft game? |

Im looking to fullfil a rifleman sort of role I suppose. I have seen quite a bit of AKM Aims around for sale but almost none AKMS so Im starting to have doubts about whether a retailer would be able to get one in for a reasnable price.
