If it gets the job done, then have at: But in my opinion, using a plate carrier is impractical unless you're carrying armor. That being said, if you have a tonne of things to carry on your chest, it may be your ticket.
If you're doing an impression, than the repro ballistic helmet may be for you, but for actual bump protection, skateboard helmets do a better job (and protec helmets are used by super secret ninja's when doing things that cause bump and less bang). The khaki paint is very bright, and unless you're actually in the sandpit, won't help you at all, so I suggest browning/greening the gear. Paint the helmet while you're at it. Otherwise, congratulations, you have gear. |

MikeRomeo, don't ask people what pouches you should be getting. Think for yourself.. what do you need to carry.. once you have that figured out then you can look at pouches to fill that need. No point in buying a million pouches if they are going to be empty or hold random sh*t just cause something has to be in a pouch.
Like what was said above plate carriers aren't an ideal LBE unless you are carrying plates in them, otherwise just get a chest rig, webbing or whatever. Also, why are you using a plate carrier for cadets... |

Exactly what I was thinking, if you really feel the need for a vest in cadet FTX's get an LBV.
