BDU match ?

HELLO !

Here's the thing, I have a ACU, vest, and I'm about to buy a BDU. Now, I really love the CADPAT bdu, because of it's look and woodland capabilities. So, do you think it's a good idea to buy a CADPAT BDU with an ACU vest or should I buy a U.S ACU kinda BDU ?

Thanks, I'm still a n00b !!!

You're just negating the effect of Camouflage.

Your ACU which may works in Urban/Sand environments won't work with Cadpat as it will give you away.

Same with Cadpat that will work in Woodland, ACU will give you away.

Anyway, don't order BDU's from Asia.

Airsoft-Club's camo is chinese made radioactive fluorescent zombie camo.

Mixing desert CADPAT with temperate CADPAT does look good IMHO... but ACU with CADPAT? Well it's your choice really, there are no rules (usually) about it. But I'm not a fan of that mix.

Oh, and don't quote the post right before yours, especially if you are the one who made it... just use the "edit" function.

If you want to keep your ACU, get a full ACU BDU. If you want CADPAT, I'd advise either CADPAT or OD gear. Coyote Brown could also work, it's pretty much universal.

On a sidenote, T7 is tasty (although I prefer crème brûlée or crème caramel)

No, it is not.

On Quebec fields the ONLY place I've seen ACU/UCP work well was a gravel road in Rawdon. Get full ACU if you want to do a US Army impression. Otherwise get something more useful.

CadPat works well in places with fir trees, not as well in regular wooded areas. MarPat, DPM and US Woodland work best in our wooded areas.

Like Conker stated, using the UCP vest with any camo will negate its effectiveness.

That or near dead grass / wood. It blends and it looks like (foin)

But unless your forest is majorly grey and pale, It won't work.

mixing camo (green and tan) does work but the conditions have to be right. this past fall up in Muskoka, tan top and green pants don't work but the reverse would have been bang on

Hey Pad,
since your starting in airsoft heres a few pointers. Use the internet to find photos of soldiers. Find out what camo (Cadpat) and equipment and weapons go together and wich ones you like. Keep as close as possible to the picture you chose (without spending a fortune). Each item you will buy will complete your look. A good way to find pictures is Google.ca, chose "images" and write cadpat as the subject. Study the images, you wont find any acu on soldiers wearing cadpat. You can also write "camo" to findout what other camoflage you like.
