Qlong should know about this, he had a Dytac Vtlor upper on his WE M4 (I'm assuming it will be the same.. just the added rail). As well, I read over at gungas.info that it's not 100% WE spec but it's meant for PTW... and something about problems fitting the barrel assmebly on it.
I wanted to get one of those Dytac uppers... but not sure if it's worth it. |

You need to shim the bolt key and bolt carrier, and add some material to the bolt stop, the larger inner diameter of the uppers were actually made for PTW cylinders which are a bit larger than WE spec.

had a dytac upper on a stock we m4 cqbr, theres something missing compared to the stock we upper...the dytac is missing a component to hold the inner barrel in place, so every time u pull the charging handle, the entire inner barrel with hopup willl be pulled back too...
thers a thread about modifying it to fit..i think it was on GGi...might have been asc tho |

I've done the mod on my RS build, you need to drill into the spacer and add a pin. The pin holds the inner barrel in place.

Alright this seems more work than I want to do at the moment. Adding a shim and a little dremel work sounds ok, but haveing to drill into the inner barrel to keep it from moving is beyond me. Thanks for the pics Qlong.
