Optic mount for Hi-capa
I want to install a reflex sight on my TM hi-capa (not building a race gun). I know Illusion sell this http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload...SCOPE-01-L.jpg, but I don't want to drill the receiver (no tools for it). If I go for this particular sight, that means no molded holsters right?
Anybody tried this one ? http://www.ebairsoft.com/hicap-alumi...nt-p-2585.html Thoughts? |

If you get any CMore "Serendipity" or "SlideRide" replica, then you have NO OPTION, except to drill and tap your frame.
If you go with any of this style of optics, then yes of course, no more moulded holsters. That one you linked from EB is HUGE. It stands a solid 1cm higher than the top of the slide, and requires you to have the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 rail mount base attached to the frame. You will NOT be able to fit it to the 4.3. This mount is tall and wide. If you can deal with that, then give it a shot, but not even race gun holsters will accept this mount base... that's how big it is! For reference, this is the scope mount base it is based off of: If you want to use any type of moulded holster, I would recommend a mini red dot sight (ie Doctersight, etc) to replace the rear sight mount. This requires the least headache and hassle, but you'll have to train to manage the moving dot (it moves with the slide.) Similar to this: This type of setup works very well with moulded holsters, however, you may be required to remove holster material that may normally cover and protect rear open sights.

Another option is to get the AS mount as no drilling is required. They have specific ones for C-More, Doctor, Micro, or a rail version.

Thank you, I'll look at the replacement for the rear sight, that way I can still use a regular holster.

I just finished another production run of them if you're interested. They may also be oxidized in to different colours as requested, and at extra cost.
