Canadian ones are pretty good, not a fan of all of them. I ate them for half my tour.. after awhile they become very blah.. Was a good week when we found a box of US MREs to eat, new food and they were pretty good. Jalapeno/Cheese spread is the shit, same with the pound cake.

The South Korean ration looks pretty small, dunno how filling it would be especially if you are pretty physically active.

The Brits invented curry bro. Curry is a spice and nothing more in India.

Curry powder is a British "invention". Proper Indian curry is blended and cooked from individual ingredients like cumin and tumeric proportioned to for the recipe.

I have to admit I was surprised to find the Canadian teriyaki salmon dinner ration to be really good! The salmon on it's own was pretty decent, but the sauce really makes a delicious meal.

Funny observation, I have lots of CF IMPs all sectioned out into the various groups for the little packets, condiments, etc. and was looking through one bag for a few packs of the instant coffee (yes, it's crap, but I can stomach it) since our work coffee maker has gone tits up....... didn't find any in there, but found sugar packets, and guess what? The sugar packets are measured in GRAINS!!! A whole 100 grains worth to be exact!

Lol, I found that funny, simply because that is a common measurement for powder weight in ammunition, but never thought I'd see it on something like a packet of sugar. And it looks like regular packets of sugar one finds at convienent stores, diners, etc.

Back at ColtFarmers big August Holiday game back at OLD Flagraiders, Myself, Bindon Blood and Brit_ter had MREs for lunch which consisted of Pasta, cookie/bread, cinnamon apple slices. The cinnamon was VERY strong. I ate the entire thing........and then didnt move a whole lot for the 2nd half of the game, haha.

I find MRE's great for my long 4+ day hikes where we carry our own food and everything. They are a great morale boost when you feel like giving up because you are cold wet and hungry. Not to mention that they really give you those much needed calories to drag yourself across the Newfoundland scenery for another day.

current day bread loaves aren't all that bad. soft and with a little honey, they are pretty good. so you can sort of call it fresh...

Actually, I had the opportunity to try one of the South Korean rations over the summer while visiting a forward operating base just off the DMZ.... its NOT small.... the picture only shows a portion of the food.

I like Korean food, but damn... lets just say that I've had better.
