Velcro + Pressure Switch = No go?
I've got my M3X last week and I was looking to put velcro on it so I could move it depending on the setup and upper I used it with. I intend to do something similar when I'll get the PEQ-15 in.
But... am I retarded, or there's not a damn glue that sticks on the pressure switch's rubber? I could always ducktape the pressure pad on the place I want it, but if anyone has a suggstion (tried and tested as much as possible) to glue the velcro on it instead, that'd be much appreciated. Thanks! Conker

Didn't it come with adheasive velcro? Is that what you are looking for? If so, hardware stores, Dollarama, etc. have very sticky black velcro strips that should work for you. Not sure the type of rubber on your pressure switch, but most of them are covered by electrical heatshrink, so the velcro will stick to them pretty well.

Yes it did come with some, and I tried it as well as another industrial sticky velcro without succes.
The M3X's pressure switch isn't like most flashlights/lasers that has heatsink-type rubber, it's more of a soft, highly flexible rubber.

take some 99% rubbing alcohol and clean the pressure pad first, it most likely has a powder on it to keep the rubber from drying out and cracking.

Still, nothing will stick.
I have some industrial double-sided tape I got from a job before... it is paper thin and there is writings in spanish on it... It works for this (that is what holds mine) If not, contact glue. Make sure to apply a very thin layer on both sides, let it dry a good 10-15 minutes and then put the velcro on it. If that does not work... well you might consider replacing that heat-shrink with something else... or just some new heat-shink... |

It's NOT an heat-shrink. I repeat it's NOT an heat shrink.
It's a soft and flexible, thick (as opposed to a think heatshrink) FDE rubber. I'll try Amos' idea, thanks!

Put actual heat shrink over it then. Lol, or, as a french co-worker calls it, 'Shrinking tube'.

Just use elastic bands:
or buy a duel switch.

As with most things that need to be glued, if its a flat smooth surface it increases the likelihood it won't stick properly: get a small corner of sandpaper (say #600 or #800) and rough up the surfaces you want to apply glue to, then clean off (running water, rubbing alcohol, or duster gas), allow time to dry fully if necessary, then try glue.
You just want to scratch up the surface lightly (so it's not as glossy), not create deep pits or channels. So use the sandpaper sparingly and keep it in the areas that will be covered by what's being glued on or it'll look junky.

Personally, I don't like glue or velcro...
Electrical tape is a good intermediary. |

I saw people using fabric elastic band. Once painted, they don't look ghetto.
If you are looking at a more permanent job, contact glue could work.

If it's going on a foregrip, you can use 1.5-2.0 inch heat shrink tubing from electronic surplus store or in a less permanent way, an old bicycle inner tube and wrap it around both the switch and grip. IMO it looks and feels the much better than tape or Velcro without actually having to spend.

Cut bicycle inner tube works even better than tape.
