L96 Flash Hider/Silencer
So I recently purchased a TSD L96 and anyone who owns one knows they come with that anoying orange threaded barrel cap. I plan on getting the KA adapter but im not sure as to whether or not I should get a flash hider or silencer to attach to it, I was thinking maybe this http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1036 if anyone has any suggestions feel free to give your input.

I'd get a proper L96 flash hider that doesn't require an adapter, looks best. Or go for a silencer if you want a longer inner barrel. That flash hider is a bit too small to be put on the end of the L96 barrel.

Check out the vanishing silencer made by Maruzen. It was made for the original Type 96.

Yeah I was looking for the Laylax PSS96 L96 Flash Hider but every where i've checked there either out of stock or don't carry them anymore, I'd like to get a silencer but then I would likely need to get a longer inner barrel.

Why get a longer barrel?
A silencer actually silences the noise. So you get a quieter rifle. Good thing for a sniper rifle. I had a setup that was nice not long ago. Get a -14 silencer adapter (CCW) and a KingArms lightweight "Slim" silencer. The silencer is about 3 mm larger than the stock barrel. The look is really nice. I recommend you 200mm lenght. More is too much, less looks funky. |

Great thanks for the help, my last question regarding this though is would I need to get a longer inner barrel?

You wouldn't need to. But if you're already taking up that extra length on the end of your gun, you might as well make use of it with a longer inner barrel.

And you would need a bore-up bolt to use something longer. Means an extra 500$ to drop on the gun. |

Why put a silencer on a spring gun, unless it's for looks? Springers are near silent to start with you don't need a silencer to hush the noise. If it's looks or a longer barrel then sure I can it but otherwise........

On a spring gun, a supressor does a good job. Less noticeable than on gas gun, but it work in atenuating the sound of the shot.
My friend's APS2 is supressed and I can hear the difference.

Silencer
I'll take your word on that. If you increase the barrel length to into the silencer would that not negate the silencer.
