alright but just to clarify, the mp5 claw mounts etc. DON'T work on the G3/MC51? What are my options to mount a RDS then?
and Skruface, any idea on how I could get me hands on the TGS Selector Switch you mentioned? I found several swithc assemblies etc. on this : http://www.airsoftglobal.com/index.php?cPath=36_230 but none seems to be for the G3. EDIT : would that one fit even if its not TGS? http://www.cobraairsoft.com/product_...roducts_id=558 Last edited by Huge; August 23rd, 2010 at 17:54.. |

I have had both the claw mount and low rise mount on my g3. They fit but are shit quality unfortunatly. IMO custom is the only way to go for G3 scope/sight mounts Oh and that is not the switch skruface is talking about. The actual firing selector on the left side of the gun....to select firing modes. The stock one is a POS. The one on my JG G3 is so wobbly and shitty. TGS here I come! |

The disk that the switch screws into on the Tm is plastic; the disk on the TGS is metal. My plastic one split right down the middle into 2 halved just from removing it a couple of times to tinker with the mechbox. Best $15 investment for G3's, hands down.

A claw mount can have a rail mountaing surface, or two special scope rings at each end for a scope. I believe the key word for the proper dimension of the claw mount set up is called STANAG configuration. I 've used a real HK Claw mount straight from Germany. I mounted it on my Classic Army MP 5 metal body. My experiece with these is that they will only mount straight and level once. Once you remove and re mount it, it will always be canted. If you have a plastic body, this in not a good option as the plastic will flex, causing the claw mount to mount even more canted, which I experienced with my TM MP5 RIS. If you want an RS mount that works on HK G3, MP 5 aegs, look into Brugger and Thomet. Wolverine Tactical Supplies in Canada is a dealer for this product. Good luck brother. |
