Hello people of Airsoft Canada.

I hope I put this in the right forum area, and that I'm not reposting something. I looked around, but couldn't find anything.

I am currently studying Visual Effects for films, and I am interested in buying non-functional soft air guns, as props for my movies. I'm interested in both rifles, SMG's and handguns.

Since there are no walk-in stores in Vancouver, BC (or so it seems).. maybe you know where I could turn?

I've been e-mailing a bunch of Canadian retailers, but haven't gotten any responses yet.

You'll want to get age verified here, and then you will have access to the buy&sell to purchase broken guns for prop use. You'll need to be 18yo+.

Optix in Richmond is your best bet for Vancouver and area.

As for props, might be better if you can find a propsmaster who will help you out for a nominal charge (eg. a 6 pack) since you're a student.

I highly suggest against "Guerrilla film making" especially considering the manner of the props and intricities around them. Guerrilla film making may cut it for revealing some social issue or what have you but it doesn't cut if for props like these since it will end really really *REALLY* badly if someone calls the VPD/RCMP/ERT.

Thanks for the reply, Optix in Richmond is pretty close to here so I'll definitely check it out.

And about the guerilla movie making thing, thanks for the concern.. hehe . I'll try to keep indoors, and make sure my neighbors knows what's going on.
