Classic Army UMC (UMP) Tightbore Barrel
Hi, I'm looking for a tightbore barrel for my Classic Army UMC.. I'm pretty sure a tightbore for the G&G UMG or the Ares UMP would also fit.. so if anyone has a clue were I can find that, I'd be realyl glad to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks in advance! |

When I had my G&G UMG the barrel length was 206mm
I couldn't find myself a tightbore barrel for it either, I've read that some people went with a 229mm and covered it with the silencer found here: http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1834 |

In that case what kind of tightbore would I need?
Because when you look for tightbores, they always mention what AEGs they're made for... and if none are specifically made for the UMC/UMG... ...and thanks for the info. |

Just whatever your page you're ordering from type '229mm' into the search.
229mm is the main one for me because thats what my tm mp5sd6 takes, several other guns as well. On a site note, one of the best sites IMO for barrels is redwolfairsoft.com they generally have a good selection of brands and bore sizes and take about 3 days to deliver to canada. Prometheus 229mm 6.03 barrel i read is the best around for that sizing. |

I noticed this as well.. but I was thinking maybe some barrels have different tips than others and might not be compatible with the hop-up unit.. sorry for my newbness, but I'm pretty new to airsoft

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/prometheu...sas-208mm.html Hard to beat the lenght, it would not protrude from my outer barrel. But I'll take a look at redwolf.. thanks for your help! Last edited by GODSPEED|seven; August 23rd, 2010 at 01:30.. |

Again, redwolf has a great selection of 208mm. Ehobby will take you a few weeks to get it, redwolf 3 days Good luck! |

Also, should I be aware of anything in particular if I'm changing barrels? I mean is there any disadvantage to getting something like a 6.01mm?

You know whats a great post to read for upgrades? check here:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=2697 Im new to upgrading myself, but i've followed pretty much the guidelines they give in this post. A LOT of helpful information and a smooth read. It'll give you a better idea of what to upgrade off the bat and further down the road. But in reference to the original post, 6.03mm i've read is the best choice to make |
