Best after-market 1911 parkerisation replicate?
Does anyone know who currently does the closest replication of parkerisation on a full metal 1911 body kit? I just can't get enough of the look of this thing...

"Parkerization"?
For a TM body, the PGC one is the closest parkerized finish I've seen so far, but is difficult to fnd these days. |

Yeah I think that's the only one I've seen so far that's able to do a decent replication of the finish. Still doesn't have that strange glossy shine though.

If you'd be willing to do some work, you can get a kit to Parkerize the frame yourself from Brownell's, or find instructions online. Obviously, you'd need a steel frame, and some time.

Duracoat makes a parker color that looks just like parkerizing. It will adhere to any surface if prepped properly.
