Clone MEU/1911/92 Mags

I need a few MEU or 1911 mags in a hurry, and I remember seeing a bunch of those clone mags at Huang's store. What's the general opinion of them?

Well, I've got to fit these mags into a Marui MEU.

They do not state the make of the mags. From my own experience, with the ARMY mag that came with my MEU (ARMY), it literaly gave up on me in it's first week. They also "piss" like hell when you try to fill them, which is very annoying. I had bought two spare marui MEU mags in advance because I knew this was coming. Although I can sucessfully say that I've repaired my clone mag (using gasket maker, thanks coachster) it will still piss when filling it and is just not as nice as my MEU :

The metal's finish is "meh", the feeding lips are of lesser quality and of course, the fill valve sucks.

If you don't mind playing around trying to fix them (I like that stuff, that's the main reason I picked up clones to start with) them you might be able to save a few bucks.
ARMY mags on Ehobby are 19.99 USD vs. Marui's that are 28.99USD.

It's your call. I can only speak of the ARMY brand on this one, but from what I was told, it behaves pretty much like the other clones out there.

P.s. For the record, I also gasketed my Marui mags just to be on the safe side.

The ones Huang sells are the Meiseter mags, they're not bad to be honest but if it we're up to me I'd get TM quality.

And with the ARMY mags mine fired 2 shots and it ran outta gas, so pay the extra 9 dollars and get TM quality!

Hmm, are they difficult to fix? Because I can literally by 3 clone mags for the price of one Marui mags at the prices I've found.

Nope quite simple if you know what you're doing. But what brand of mags are they?

Bell makes 1911 mags, available from ehobbyasia. They will fit a TM and work fine, I have 5 or 6 of them.

Can't speak for Meister mags... but the Army mag I've got has issues with a worn down follower and weak follower spring - resulting in the slide sometimes catching. Until I can replace the follower (good luck with that, eh?), the mag is just my last ditch mag located at the very, very back of my belt rig.

I did replace the leaky fill valve with a spare TM, and have gasket sealed the bottom O-ring as it was leaking just a bit. Doesn't seem like the valve opens as consistently as TM's do for some reason, though I can't verify this with numbers.

Hmm, okay. So buying 1 Marui mag is better than 3 clones mags is the verdict, then? On a side note, what do you guys recommend for a Beretta 92? Marui mags again, or is there a reliable substitute?
