Echo 1 e90 (p90) Batteries
Ive seen a few sites now that are selling the echo 1 e90, thats all cool and stuff but, according the the stats the echo 1 runs on a 9.6v battery. Everyone is trying to sell me a 8.4 insted! now im just thinkin maybe the size is differnt and this is the best that can fit, but im sure you guys know better because im not convinced that an 8.4 will work well with a 9.6 gun....

Well, stock the E90 doesn't run great on an 8.4v. Mechanically speaking there's no real reason it shouldn't with a weaker spring and a good shim/grease job. There's pleanty of places to get a 9.6v though.

8.4v WILL work in the echo 1. You'll get a slower ROF but it will still pull the spring. It comes with a 9.6v and fits no problem.

The stock TM P90 takes a regular chocolate bar sized 8.4 batt. However its FPS output is around 1 joule, so an 8.4v batteries output would be sufficient to power it. The Echo FPS I believe can range from 360-390 so yes it would probly require that extra bit of juice to crank over the motor, however should still function somewhat on an 8.4, just not as well as it would on a 9.6v. However a fine tuned mechbox that has been well shimmed and appropriately upgraded should function at 360-370FPS on an 8.4v battery. While many declare the Echo P90 to be fantastic, I personally do not believe the internal quality could be comparable to that of Tokyo Marui's quality, but this isnt a what P90 is better thread.
Many TM P90 owners opt to modify their P90s to accept a 9.6 battery configuration once they have installed upgrades. Would anyone happen to know if the Echo comes modified to accept a 9.6v J shaped battery out of the factory?
